Hell, it's about time.

As the Machinima-community has massively expanded during the last ten years there's always been one author that's stood out in my eyes, namely Myndflame. Myndflame is the "studio" behind Machinima-films like Zinwrath, Illegal Danish and numerous music videos and short World of Warcraft-spoofs. Illegal Danish in particular is what caught my attention about Myndflame.

The original Illegal Danish (Super Snacks) was probably the first machinima I saw that exceeded 5 minutes. In a total length of about 20 minutes it was truly impressive, but of course the length is not the reason it became my favorite machinima-series of all time.
Illegal Danish takes place in the World of Warcraft-universe, following the guild known as "The Illegal Danish". It's a comical short-film relying on slapstick comedy, "WoW"-related jokes and general randomness, but the level of the humour is surprisingly "professionally"-feeling.

At any rate, the film is hilarious and when the second one was released (Escape From Orgrimmar(finally, after various delays) I became complete. Now, however, the trailer for the third film is out! Boy oh boy am I excited!

Illegal Danish 3: Prelude to the Ballad of Dirti G

To those who are eagerly awaiting Starcraft 2 and have seen the trailer, you might find it hilariously familiar seeing how the Illegal Danish 3 trailer is a deliberate copy.

The Machinima-media is continuing to grow. I myself am an eager machinima-viewer and I believe it's a great and cheap way of making good-quality films. Keep up the good work, everyone in the Machinima-industry. This blog was partly an attempt to open the eyes of some to the wonders of Machinima while also serving as a means for me to express my excitement. I guess.

A walking contradiction

If one should ever wonder, this is a blog. A blog about me, my shenanigans and what else I can fit into this stream of written goodness. The phrase "Positively Cynical" is an attempt to create a contradictory idea, an idea that corresponds with who I am, namely Cynical in Positive way and a walking contradiction.

On a less enigmatic note I just want to say that I'm doing this in connection with the expansion of the Web 2.0. Some of my friends are eager blog-writers and others are as new in the media as me, but I've also chosen to give it a try.
